Animal Medical Center of the Lowcountry in Beaufort, SC is looking for a dedicated and passionate veterinarian to join our growing practice which is well-established in our beautiful Lowcountry community!

Our locations are equipped for general medical, surgical, laser therapy, full Idexx in-house lab, patient smartflow software, digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, and dental veterinary services. We are a full-service, small animal hospital dedicated to providing quality veterinary care. The compassionate support staff, which maintains an enjoyable, family-like work atmosphere is committed to our patients, clients, and community to focus on our number one priority which is caring for our patients. We also have several Licensed Veterinary Technicians and a couple in school to become certified.

This is a wonderful opportunity for experienced veterinarians who are looking to build their careers along with outstanding and motivated new grads who are looking for mentorship - our Chief of Staff has been practicing in the Lowcountry for 25-years and would offer amazing mentorship.

Veterinary Technician/Assistant

Animal Medical Center is hiring a Full-time or Part-time Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our exceptional team in Beaufort SC. We are a professional, friendly, animal-loving team that thrives on our dedication to providing exceptional service to our clients and high-quality veterinary care to our patients. If you are passionate about pets and providing extraordinary veterinary care, we’d love for you to join our team!

We’re looking for a skilled and reliable, long-term employee with a positive attitude to join our busy team. Our clinic is a great place to work; you’ll have the opportunity to utilize and enhance your skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment. We treat our staff and pets like family!

After 25 years of caring for our community’s pets, we’ve expanded to include a second location to provide even more compassionate, state-of-the-art pet care and services. Comprehensive veterinary care services including preventive, diagnostic, surgical, and dental services, as well as pain management, on-site dog trainer, pet chiropractic, acupuncture, and boarding. Our facility includes Digital X-Ray, Digital Dental X-Ray, Ultrasound, and Laser Therapy.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Excellent customer service and exceptional veterinary care

  • Computer skills - email, Excel and Word, Cornerstone Veterinary software

  • Organization - helping keep all areas of hospital tidy, clean, stocked, and organized, cleaning as needed

  • Some Saturdays required

  • Below is an outline of our Technicians' primary duties:

  • Perform safe and gentle restraint for examinations by a veterinarian

  • Perform laboratory sample preparation for in-house machine analyses on urine and blood

  • Perform digital radiology

  • Administer vaccines and medications

  • Communicate with and educate clients

  • Provide compassionate patient care

  • Pitch in where needed to provide top-notch care

  • Preparing estimates

  • Filling prescriptions

  • Daily call-backs
